Paul McCartney topped a poll of Americans' favorite Beatles, but nearly a quarter of those surveyed said they didn't like the British rock group.And 3 percent of the 4,837 American adults questioned in the survey said they didn't know the Fab Four's music well enough to make a decision. Nearly 30 percent of Americans questioned in the poll selected McCartney, compared to 16 percent who chose John Lennon, 10 percent for George Harrison and 9 percent for Ringo Starr. John Zogby, the CEO of Zogby International which conducted the survey said "Americans over 30 and those over 65 love Paul,"."It must be the crazy love songs and 'Yesterday'. Interestingly, John is the main answer for people who never go to church,".//The Beatles, arguably the most successful band ever, are enjoying a resurgence in sales as fans scramble for the group's reissues.
The Beatles’ final album ‘Abbey Road’ has been named their best album in a new poll. //The album, released in 1969, features the legends’ hit tracks such as ‘Come Together’ and ‘Here Comes The Sun’.
According to the online Rolling Stone poll, it piped The Beatles (The White Album) and Revolver. Wrapping up the top five were Rubber Soul and Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.

SIMON COWELL-- and his ex-girlfriend --TERRI SEYMOUR --have settled a legal dispute --with a chef --over a pair of sneakers - handing over a cash settlement-- amounting to less than $100.//The former couple-- was named in a small claims lawsuit-- by a woman who had previously applied for the job --of personal chef --at Cowell's Los Angeles home. //The unnamed female alleged --Seymour --had forced her to remove her shoes-- when she arrived for a trial shift - but accidentally left them behind-- when she left the property. //She accused the stars --of failing to return the running shoes, which had been fitted --with $500 dolars worth of orthopaedic insoles - and sued them for $661.-- to cover the cost of the footwear and other expenses. //Cowell and Seymour, who insisted they were not at fault for the misplaced sneakers,-- have now put an end to the legal action --by returning the shoes --and paying for the chef's estimated --$75 in court costs.

British rock band --coldplay and Joe Satriani-- have settled their legal entanglements, --and the guitarist's lawsuit-- alleging copyright infringement-- has been dismissed.//While details of the case remain sealed,-- legal sources said-- a financial settlement between the two parties-- may have been reached.// Coldplay will not be required --to admit to any wrongdoing.//Last December,-- Satriani filed a lawsuit against the members of Coldplay-- and their Capitol Records label, --alleging the band's song, "Viva La Vida," --contained "substantial, --original portions" of his 2004 track --"If I Could Fly."//Satriani said "I felt like a dagger went right through my heart. It hurt so much," Satriani told website Music Radar at the time . "The second I heard it, I knew it was (my own) 'If I Could Fly.'

1.He considered Walt Disney his idol and tried to recreate Disneyland in his fantasy themed abode 'Neverland'.
And now the children's park is planning a special tribute for it's most famous patron, the 'King Of Pop' Michael Jackson, who died earlier this year on June 25.
Bosses at the Californian theme park are bringing back 'Captain EO', a 17-minute 3D movie starring the 'Thriller' hitmaker which was originally shown at the venue in the 80s and 90s.
The film starring Jackson is about a space crew who are on a mission to take a present to an alien leader.
Fans of the 'Bad' singer have been begging Disneyland organisers to screen the movie as a tribute to him and an official announcement about the plan on September 10.

Iron Man --and Spider-Man --are joining the family of Mickey Mouse, --Donald Duck, --and Cinderella --in a $4 billion deal –in which Walt Disney Co. will buy Marvel Entertainment Inc.//Unnder the deal, which is expected to close by the end of the year, Disney will acquire the rights to 5,000 Marvel characters. Many of them, including the Fantastic Four and the X-Men, were cocreated by the comic book legend Stan Lee.
Disney chief executive officer Robert Iger said Marvel's comic books, TV shows, movies, and video games amounted to "a treasure trove of content." Iger said the deal would bring benefits such as the ones Disney got from buying Pixar Animation Studios Inc., creator of Toy Story, for $7.4 billion in stock in 2006.// Iger said "The acquisition of Marvel offers us a similar opportunity to advance our strategy,", and "to build a business that is stronger than the sum of its parts."//For Marvel, Iger said being in the Disney camp would mean better global distribution and better relationships with retailers to sell its products. Another storied comic book maker, DC Comics Inc., has been part of a major studio since 1969, when Warner Bros. bought it. DC Comics is the home of Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.
